4th of July

We had a fun, full day on the 4th. We started out by running the Provo Freedom Festival 10k, and then watched the parade. Both kids really liked it. Gavin was bouncing all over the place every time a band came marching by!

That evening we went to a BBQ at Nicole & Derrin's, did some fireworks with the cousins, and then drove to Provo to watch the Stadium of Fire fireworks show (that's the big one in town!). We had a great day and hope you all did as well!

Lake Powell & Wasatch Back Relay

Sorry, but I'm being lazy and don't want to repeat what I just posted on my blog. So, Jared and I completed the wasatch back relay the weekend of June 20 & 21st. Talk about crazy/fun/exhausting!

The very next week we headed to Lake Powell w/NO kiddos :) What a nice "treat" after that race! Unfortunately Gavin, who had been on antibiotics for 5 days before we left to Lake Powell for an ear infection, broke out in a rash that covered his ENTIRE body. Apparently he's allergic to amoxicillian (sp?). So my Sis-in-law, Nicole, took great care of him, and got him to the doctor and they got him on a new antibiotic. Poor guy! All the while Jared and I were completely unaware and having a great time.
