Talent Show 2008

So, I don't think any of you have seen this, b/c I've kept it well hidden for almost a year. Last spring, I was roped into doing a talent show/fundraiser for my school.
Yes, those are microphones, and yes, those are tap shoes!

When you watch the video, keep in mind that NO-ONE (not even Scott) had any idea what was happening. Obviously the other teachers were in on it, but it was a complete surprise to the audience. Haha!

Easter

Well, it wasn't Hawaii, and we didn't have live ponies or bunnies, but we had a good Easter - minus the rain and a missing daddy (he's in Florida).

We decorated eggs with Richards' cousins on SaturdayAnd the Easter Bunny made it to our house (while we were at church!)The Easter bunny was even kind enough to leave some eggs for me to hide when we got home from church. Notice how empty Gavin's basket is, compared to Mia's?! Oh well!Hope you all had a great Easter as well!

We celebrated Easter a few days early at a friend's Easter Party. Most of the kids born in our ward in 2007 were there, so there were lots of little munchkins and live animals, too! Camden was a little shocked when the pony started moving...

But he actually LOVED being up there!

He also loved the slide. He climbed up that big ladder all by himself!

Here he is after the egg-hunt, clearly proud of the loot he got.

He was also super excited about the bunnies, but took a minute to learn about being "soft." Bunnies seem to be quite durable, thank goodness.He got it down for just a minute, but then kept going for the water dish. Ewww.

Browns in Utah

So, just as I was working on the previous post, I realized I had uploaded some of these pictures almost a month ago, and then forgot all about them. So here are the pictures from when the Browns came to Utah!

We went to visit the Sicklers. This isn't a great picture, but I think Olivia's eye is hilarious!

Zach was interested in showing me his truck, but would not smile until AFTER the picture was taken!We ate dinner at Wingers in Lehi and had some of the worst service EVER - we did get 2 free pies, but we should have gotten a free meal!

So, here's some pictures of our exciting life lately:

Gavin turned 18 months - hurray for Nursery!!!

He made a huge stride and now weighs 22 lbs (7% - it's the first time he's been over 1.5 % since 3 months!) and is average for his heightMia "helped" me make my first ever homemade carrot cake - YUM! And then she took this picture of me eating it - pretty good for a 3 year old!

I survived my first attempt at canning salsa last weekend. Jared surprised me with this in our loft (where the toys/tv used t0 be). We had been talking about building shelves for the toys, tv, etc...for awhile, and Jared decided he liked this better. So he had it done. Without telling me. I wasn't quite so sure at first (it's not exactly what I was envisioning for the space), but it's growing on me, and it's obviously not going anywhere :) We will eventually get a flat screen tv and put the "kids" dvd/vcr player out there again.
